Your thanksgiving party should not always be the traditional; you have all the right to thank God fun and memorable way. People most especially the college students living out of the house or best friends who just want to be thankful for their friendship can have a party that is fun. Here are some things that you can do.
1. Decorations always set the mood for the theme of all parties. Avail of cornucopias, pumpkins, and even corn stalks to be decorated around the room. You can easily find them in your local markets or in pumpkin patches. For people who’d want to save yet be creative, you can use things that can be found around your house such as wrapping tissue, yellowing leaves that have fallen, and construction paper. Only your imagination limits your options.
2. You can play a game to heighten the festive mood of the thanks giving party. One fun game that is always a hit is charades where your silly friends or family members can act out things that will make the atmosphere lighter and happy.
3. With food, you can all have it thanksgiving themed. You can have your friends chip in or they can bring their own dishes to be shared by everybody. You must remember to assign people what kinds of food to bring so that you can take care of appetizers and deserts.
4. A good thing to do at the dinner table is to do a thanksgiving-themed ice breaker game while eating. This will make the dinner table fun and not just the regular eating.
The most important thing about thanksgiving though is to give thanks for all God’s blessings. You should also be generous most especially in this time. If you see a friend that is not going home for a thanksgiving party with his or her family, bring him or her over.
